CREATE A COMPANY LINKEDIN PAGE (EVEN IF IT’S JUST YOU)

Not having a company LinkedIn page is a bad move – even if you don’t think of your business as a company. 

Even as a solopreneur, it’s important to present yourself as a professional and credible business entity and a strong brand and logo can help to achieve that. Plus, you won’t have the ‘grey square of shame’ on your profile where your logo should be. 

So, if you haven’t created a page for your business this is your sign to do it now.

Here’s how you can create a page on LinkedIn:

1. In the same row as your Home page icon, click on Work.

2. Click on Create a Company Page +.

3. Click on the first option, Company

4. Fill out all the fields, add your logo, and agree to the terms.

5. Click on Create page.

After successfully creating your page, here’s how you can connect to it:

1. Go to your Experience section on your profile.

2. Click the Edit icon.

3. Click the Edit icon on your selected experience to connect.

            – Note: A pop-up will appear.

4. Under Company Name, type in the name of the page you just created and click on the one that matches.

5. Click Save

Things to remember:

– When creating a page for your business, it’s good to have a clear logo and banner image that fits the page and doesn’t look squashed.
