Mosman

We started with an L shaped under floor space, which we excavated to form a passageway and the wine cellar. The existing sandstone walls were disordered and in need of cleaning and repointing to enhance their appearance and structural integrity. The client desired a climate-controlled cellar featuring classic elements that would complement the style of his home, while also showcasing the distinctive sandstone walls.

We aimed to highlight the natural beauty of the sandstone walls by using subtle lighting, creating a warm and inviting passageway to the cellar room. The wine cellar was finished with elegant natural western red cedar wine racks, which complemented the stone’s organic texture. What was once an unappealing space is now a stunning feature.
